New product formats and flavours put a spring in the step of buying sentiment in gloomy times and awaken the appetite for trial purchases. That is why new products remain indispensable in the shop business in 2023 as well.
Particularly innovative convenience products such as Ferrero Kinder Duo and Red Bull Aprikose-Erdbeere have established themselves as the top new products of the year. With awareness of more than 40 per cent and a purchase rate of around 30 per cent, they stand out clearly. Other top ten products such as Aperol Spritz 10.5% and Monster Lewis Hamilton Zero also achieved impressive results.
When taste and design are right, new products like these trigger impulse purchases among shoppers that are decisive for valuable additional sales at the point of sale. And that is exactly what the retail trade needs after the decline in impulse purchases caused by Corona.
